Guidelines for Blog Usage

I'm back again!

Like in every classroom, work environment, or organized setting, there must be some guidelines to follow when using blogs. I visited a few sites that lays out very good guidelines for blog usage. For the purpose of my blog, I think I want to apadt some of these guidelines to control what is taking place here at Ash's Literacy Corner. Before going on into this post, look at this as it includes 10 great guidelines that I will use for this blog.

Now that you have read some of the guidelines, I just want to highlight a few. First, I want you to be sure to think before you post. There is no need to be inappropraite on this blog. I want to compose an environment that is respectful to everyone. The second and final guideline I would like to highlight is to treat other people the way you want to be treated.

Once you adhere to these guidelines, I know for sure that this blog will be a safe environment for all it's visitors. Thank you for reading!

  1. I like your choice to highlight just two all-encompassing guidelines rather than many small guidelines. As college students, we should be able to recognize the ramifications of your suggestions. If we do, indeed, think before posting and treat others with respect, we will also follow all other guidelines.

  2. These are interesting choices. You put a high emphasis on feelings, both in the class discussions I have heard you speak up in, and here on your blog. This constant awareness and sensitivity to other's feelings is a valuable skill to have as a teacher. I believe you would work well with underprivileged kids, who tend to emphasize feelings even more than kids who come from richer parents (I realize this is a very general statement and absolutely not always true.) I'm not surprised that you did well working in the Saint Paul inner city schools.
